Who uses a Learning Portal
Although many portals are built for the same reasons and with the same basic building blocks, all portals are unique.
Learning portals are used in all kinds of organizations, from multinationals to Small and Medium Enterprises, but also in public organizations such as municipalities, schools and hospitals.
In large organizations the Learning Portal stimulates colaborative learning process between departments and business units. The sales department uses the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to register and analyze customer specific information and anticipates on it. The customer complaints department and accounting department use parts of that same CRM.

Websites are a window to the world for organizations, a tool for marketing, just like collateral, PR, trade shows and other marketing programs.
